Telna Field Notes: Dispatches from a Global Year (So Far)

Written by Telna | Jul 3, 2025 4:15:00 PM

From keynote stages to strategic roundtables, our team has been on the move: in the air, on the ground, and at the center of conversations shaping the future of connectivity.
Whether in Tokyo or Mexico City, Vienna or Dubai, every stop has advanced our mission: to be the most agile, global-first eSIM connectivity partner in the industry. These dispatches capture what we’ve achieved, and what’s still to come.

Dispatch #1:

High Altitude Recognition from Kaleido (January)

We began the year on a high. Kaleido Intelligence recognized Telna as a “High Flyer” in both the eSIM Connectivity Vendor and Connectivity Management Platform categories.

This acknowledgment reflects our technical strength, platform depth, and continued momentum as an eSIM connectivity partner that enables scalable, seamless global connectivity.

Dispatch #2:

Innovating at New Heights: Vienna via ROCCO (February)

In February, Telna was selected for ROCCO’s The Innovators. The Innovators is a research initiative that celebrates the most innovative solutions within the telecom industry.

We introduced our Universal eSIM, designed to simplify provisioning through pre-configured IMSIs for instant, worldwide connectivity. A clear step forward in what enterprises need from an eSIM connectivity partner today.

Dispatch #3:

Full Signal in Barcelona at MWC (March)

At MWC Barcelona 2025, Telna made a strong impression. CEO Gregory Gundelfinger spoke at the eSIM Summit, outlining how eSIM is reshaping travel connectivity. On the show floor, our team discussed the features that set us apart as an eSIM connectivity partner: from global APNs and DPI capabilities to high-quality voice and flexible integration options.

March also brought further recognition: we were listed on the MVNO Index as a vendor/solution provider.

We also further advanced in ROCCO’s The Innovators program, with our presentation getting us voted into the shortlist. Next step, the Lion’s Den!

Dispatch #4:

Three Continents, One Month (April)

April was a sprint across three continents:

Starting in Tokyo, we attended the first ever IO APAC Connect, hosted by Rakuten Mobile. Our team discussed the future of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, including key topics around travel eSIM and the future of roaming.

At Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, we engaged with cruise and hospitality stakeholders about how the travel eSIM can elevate onboard connectivity experiences.
Then, we were off to Dubai for GSMA WAS #21. This was an opportunity to strengthen ties with GSMA members and discuss the latest developments across the wholesale ecosystem.

And if April wasn’t busy enough, we were also shortlisted for two categories in the Mobile News Awards: Wholesale Partner and MVNO!

Dispatch #5:

Accolades and Acceleration (May)

We kicked May off strong at the world’s largest MVNO event, MVNOs World Vienna, where we won eSIM Trailblazer of the Year.

At The Innovators’ Lion’s Den, Gregory presented our Universal eSIM live to a panel of judges.

The result? First place at the Visionaries Gala the following evening. Our months-long journey showcasing our solution paid off, and we were honoured to be recognised by the panel of judges for our efforts in helping drive the industry forward with our solutions.

On top of that we were also shortlisted for “Software Product or Solution of the Year” at the Technology Reseller Awards in London.

In the meantime, we also participated in:

Dispatch #6:

Expanding Conversations (June)

In June, we continued building cross-industry momentum:

  • At Money 20/20 Europe in Amsterdam, Director of Business Development Jody Carollissen joined fintech leaders to explore how an eSIM connectivity partner can drive value in banking, payments, and retail. From enhancing customer experience to unlocking new service models, eSIM is becoming a powerful enabler in financial ecosystems.
  • We also co-hosted a two-part Travel eSIM webinar series with Kaleido Intelligence. CEO Gregory Gundelfinger joined the panel to share insights on the silent roamer opportunity, emerging operator challenges, and takeaways from Kaleido’s latest industry survey.

Missed it? You can still register to watch the Travel eSIM webinar series on demand and to download the whitepaper.

Final Dispatch:

Staying the Course, Eyes Ahead

The first half of 2025 has shown what Telna can do, and where we’re headed next.

We’ve earned industry trust, expanded global partnerships, and proven the value of a lean, flexible eSIM connectivity partner in today’s telecom landscape. But the year is far from over.

Stay tuned: more innovation, more global conversations, and more progress lie ahead.
