Travel-card service

telna provides all customers with a free travel-card that allows you to place phone calls from hotels, payphones, your office or while staying with family or friends in the USA and from close to 70 foreign countries.

There are no extra fees associated with the travel-card, and calls are charged at the same rates than from your regular phone without surcharge or connection fee when calling from the continental USA. An FCC mandated surcharge of 65¢ applies to all calls originating from payphones. Various per minute surcharges apply for calls originated from overseas, where access numbers are available as listed below. In some countries, there are several access numbers available. We recommend that you always use the cheapest number available, but write down all the numbers available in case of an outage with one of the carriers.

The card is easy to use: all you need to do is dial the toll-free access number, enter your main telephone number at the prompt, followed by your mytelna PIN code, and you will get an announcement instructing you to place your domestic or international call at telna's low rates.
Please note that all calls are running through our US network, and therefore have to be dialed as if you were calling from the US:
- 1 + area code + number for calls to the USA and other NANPA countries
- 011 + country code + number for all other international calls, including calls to the country where you are calling from.

Peru: Due to regulatory changes in Peru, on January 15th, 2010 our access number in Peru was disconnected.

¹ Surcharge applies on calls from from local cellphones. Do not use the travel-card from your US cellphone while travelling abroad, as roaming fees from your cellphone provider will apply in addition to our surcharge.

You can reach our customer service from one of those countries by dialing one of the listed access numbers, and then entering 8009727538 when prompted for the authorization code. This will automatically connect you to our customer service at no charge.

For our customer's convenience we permit calls to US toll free numbers through the calling card. However, the rate applying to calls to US toll free numbers called using the travel card will be the regular state to state rate (to which you need to add the surcharge applying in the country of origin of the call).

Please remember that hotels may charge you for calling toll free numbers, in the US or abroad. We recommend that you check with your hotel the cost, if any, to call our access number prior to calling from your hotel room.

Because of the different networks and telephone companies involved in foreign countries, Telecom North America cannot guarantee that every number will be working all the time. This is why multiple access numbers are listed whenever possible.

Should you be unable to place phone calls while travelling in a foreign country, please try and contact our customer service via email for assistance. If we are unable to assist you in a timely manner, we recommend that you purchase a prepaid phone card at a local convenience store at your own expense. Telecom North America cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred for placing calls, such as operator fees, collect calls or calling cards.
