Always lower rates
Following customer requests, we've studied our costs for a few more countries in the past few weeks and we decided to lower the rates as market conditions have improved. Most changes affect countries in Africa and in the Middle East. All prices mentioned are in dollar per minute.
In the alphabetical order, we lowered the rate for landlines in Tirana, Albania to $0.069 and in the rest of the country to $0.099. Unfortunately the local cellular phone carriers still do not decrease their rates for incoming calls, so we were not able to change the rate for cellular phones.
In Algeria, we lowered the rate for regular landlines to $0.0119 and for cellular phones to $0.0179. The new lower rate for landlines does not apply to landlines from the provider Lacom or from VOIP providers which remain at $0.149.
In Kenya, the rate for landlines in Nairobi remains the same, but in the rest of the country we lowered it to $0.149. We also decreased the rate for calls to cellular phones to $0.179.
In Lebanon, the rate for calls to cellular phones is now decreased to $0.199.
Calls to landlines in Morocco are lowered to $0.099 and to cellular phones to $0.289.
And finally, for Syria, the rate to landlines is now at $0.149 and to cellular phones at $0.199.
All in all this is very good news for all our customers. As usual, the telna team is happy to listen to your suggestions and lower the rates whenever possible. With some decreases of up to 50%, that means real savings for our customers, and in times when everyone tries to save, we're happy if we can help.
And since we're talking about rates, we would like to once again underline the importance of always checking the difference of rate between calls to landlines and cellular phones. In most countries in the world, calling a cellular phone costs from 2 times up to 6 times the cost of calling a landline. So when you are in doubt about a destination you call, always feel free to look it up on our website on the international rates page or contact our customer service. And if you need to call a number for which you have some doubts, our website also allows you to check the rate before calling by looking up the number.
